What is the comparative and superlative adjective for little? Is less a comparative or superlative? Forming regular comparatives and superlatives. The form depends on the number of syllables in the original adjective.

For two-syllables adjectives, we form comparatives either by adding -es, or preceding the adjectives with "more".


It is used to compare two persons or things. The superlative degreeof an adjective denotes the highest degree of the quality. Mon fromage est bon. C’est le mielleur fromage du monde!


It’s the best cheese in the world. Ma pizze est bonne. We use the with superlative adjectives: It was the happiest day of my life. Everest is the highest mountain in the world.
