Is visa application done at the Schengen country embassy? Can I enter Schengen Schengen?


It enables its holder to enter, freely travel within, and leave the Schengen zone from any of the Schengen member countries. Travellers must apply to the embassy or consulate of the country which they intend to visit.


When issued a visa, for how long can I reside in the Schengen Zone?

Schengen Area, signifies a zone where European countries, abolished their internal borders, for the free and unrestricted movement of people, in harmony with common rules for controlling external borders and fighting criminality by strengthening the common judicial system and police cooperation. Yes, you can enter Germany with the Schengen Visa issued from Embassy of France.


But, At border of Germany you have to show the visa and you may also need provide additional documentation, for example information on that you have sufficient means to cover the stay and the return trip. Schengen visas can be issued by any member state of the Schengen Area. This includes the not-so-obvious Non- Schengen countries that have implemented such agreements in place.


The Visa Information System (VIS) allows Schengen States to exchange visa data, in particular data on decisions relating to short-stay visa applications. The person intending to visit will only be allowed to stay for not more than for either business or tourism purposes.

The national visa or type D visa is issued by the consular authorities of the intended Schengen country in accordance with national legislation. Therefore it is necessary to contact the services of the country to know the different conditions and formalities that need to be met.


A Schengen Visa is a visa issued by any of the Schengen member countries, and it allows the visa holder to travel freely within the Schengen zone on a single visa, without any border control and passport checks. It doesn't really matter which one you enter first.
